A true West Monroe summer night. Drop the tailgate, set up the lawn chairs, and catch a movie under the stars right at the iconic Duck Commander Warehouse. It’s the perfect excuse to spend a Friday evening outside. (great for the family). 6 to 10 PM. Admission $0 to $25.
The biggest boating event of the summer takes over the Ouachita River. Expect live music, local food, and plenty of aquatic life all morning long. It's exactly the kind of community river day Monroe does best. Saturday, 8 AM to 2 PM at Forsythe Park.

Sam's Eatery is Officially Open
Sam's Eatery is finally open right off the Forsythe Extension bypass. They quietly opened their doors a couple of days ago, but the secret is definitely out. Expect a solid crowd if you're planning to grab lunch there this week.
The Great Greek is Almost Here
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is getting closer to opening on Forsythe Ave (next to Baskin-Robbins). They are holding walk-in interviews all week, which means they'll be serving up fresh gyros very soon.
Viral Ice Cream Alert
Elegant Gift and Vape on Sterlington Rd just brought the TikTok-famous viral fruit ice cream to Monroe. Stop by and tell them you saw it on The Louisiana Scene for a special 2 for $10 deal this week.
A few weeks ago, we grabbed a spot at Apero's Rosé Wine Pairing Class, and it completely shattered the myth that all Rosé tastes the same. Guided by wine expert Mr. Judson, the afternoon felt more like a relaxed conversation than a stiff lecture. Between tasting a surprisingly complex German Burgundy and wandering through the connected decor gallery, The Trove, it is clear Apero is elevating the local scene.
